We have recently attended Gateshead’s first Volunteer Recruitment Fair, sharing our volunteering opportunities and first-hand experiences of being a Caregivers Connected Gateshead volunteer with local residents.
The event, organised by the fantastic team at Connected Voice and hosted at the new Gateshead Leisure Centre saw over 100 residents from across the borough connect with local organisations offering a host of volunteering opportunities.

Volunteer Roles at Caregivers Connected Gateshead
Befriending Volunteer – connect with local people and provide caregivers with a much needed break.
Activity Volunteer – get involved in our groups and activities for adult caregivers and help us make the sessions fantastic!
Digital Ambassador – help us to raise awareness of caring and reach every community in Gateshead through your online platforms.
Young Carer Activity Volunteer – try something new and help us give young carers an amazing time at our groups and activities!
Administrative Volunteer – sharpen your admin skills in our office and support our team to offer the best service we can to caregivers in Gateshead.
Why should I volunteer?
